Full Service Dealer
A Full Service Dealer has the technical skills, tooling, publications and warranty authorization to perform complete engine troubleshooting and repair up to and including an engine overhaul on the engine(s) for which that dealer is certified.
Repair Dealer
A Repair Dealer has the technical skills, tooling, information and warranty authorization to perform engine troubleshooting and component inspection and replacement on all external components including fuel systems for the engine(s) for which it is certified.
Repair dealers are not authorized to repair failures of internal engine components, or repair that requires the removal of the cylinder head, oil pan or front cover to make the repair. However, a repair dealer is allowed to repair failures of the oil pan, pan gasket, front cover and front cover gasket.
Service Associate
A Service Associate is a repair facility currently servicing older, out of warranty Cummins engines for second or third owners. A Service Associates is NOT authorized to perform new engine warranty repairs.
Engine Size/Duty
Medium Duty Engines with displacement up to 9L
Heavy Duty Engines with displacement of 10L and above
Engine Service Certification
Not all dealers have certifications for all Cummins engines classified as medium or heavy duty. Check with the dealer, prior to service, to ensure they are certified to service your specific engine model.
