Engine Retrofit
Cummins Cal Pacific provides our customers proven, cost effective, active and passive engine retrofit technologies for on road and off road applications. We only install CARB verified Level 3 aftertreatment devices, which are considered, Best Available Control Technology (BACT).
Retrofitting your vehicle/equipment with a CARB verified Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is a great way to significantly reduce the tailpipe emissions from your engines. CARB Level 3 engine retrofit devices reduce Particulate Matter (PM) by a minimum of 85%. Installing an engine retrofit device may extend the useful life of your equipment by making it compliant with State and/or local regulations. This would allow you to operate it for a longer period of time compared to an engine without a DPF.
We have years of experience installing DPF’s in a variety of on and off highway applications. Our factory trained technicians can perform the installations in our shops or installations can be performed in the field with the use of our fully equipped field service trucks.
Cummins Cal Pacific offers our customers professional and knowledgeable sales personnel, factory trained technicians, quality engineered installations, and unsurpassed post-installation support and up to a 5 year installation warranty.
We are certified dealers, and provide installation, parts and warranty for the following DPF manufacturers: Cleaire Advanced Emission Controls, Johnson Matthey, and DCL International.
Cummins Cal Pacific’s Repower and Retrofit group makes sure that each engine retrofit project includes the following:
Compliance Strategy Assessment: Our territory managers will work with you to determine which compliance option(s) make sense, taking into account: installation cost, vehicle age, product availability and equipment duty cycle. Our sales team has years of project experience and DPF product knowledge, making them an important asset as you navigate CARB’s regulations, and plan your compliance strategy.
Equipment Assessment: Our territory managers are experienced and knowledgeable about the various types of DPFs, and how your engine’s duty cycle can help determine which aftertreatment device is the most appropriate for the application. The territory manager will also work hand in hand with our application engineers to pre-determine the most cost effective approach for the installation of the aftertreatment device.
Funding Assessment: The territory manager, as well as the support staff at Cummins Cal Pacific, will work with you to check if your vehicle or piece of equipment qualifies for one of state, local, or federal funding programs for an engine retrofit installation. These programs are designed to reduce emissions from existing vehicles, ahead of any regulatory requirements. Vehicle and customer eligibility varies by program. Cummins Cal Pacific can help you determine which programs you qualify for, and help you work through the application process.
Installation Assessment: To provide our customers the most durable and robust installations, our application engineers and technicians are trained by Cummins and the aftertreatment device manufacturers. This helps ensure that the aftertreatment device installation design meets the most stringent industry standards and will exceed your expectations.
