Natural gas fuel is the proven solution for a variety of markets including waste hauling and transit fleets, because it is cheaper than diesel, greener, and domestically abundant. The Energy Information Administration ( EIA/DOE ) estimates that 98% of the natural gas consumed in North America is sourced in North America, and the domestic supplies are projected to last for 120 years.

  In terms of clean air performance when compared to older diesel models, today’s CNG trucks reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 23 %, and produce significantly less nitrogen oxides and particulate matter. In addition to running cleaner, natural gas engines run quieter when idling than their diesel-powered counterparts – helping reduce noise pollution in our communities.

 According to industry analysts, “Sales of trucks powered by natural gas will grow faster than the rest of the North American Market over the next several years.”

 Solid waste hauling providers and municipalities are actively transitioning their fleets from diesel to natural gas power across the country. And the momentum is gaining ground every day.
